I’m Ewa (Eva), and I’m San Jose Cupertino Family, Maternity Portrait Photographer and Videographer. In the past I’ve photographed from Concord and San Francisco to Morgan Hill and many places in between. Majority of my sessions are done in San Jose, Cupertino, Palo Alto, Stanford, Sunnyvale, and Los Gatos. As much as I love working with natural light I also can create beautiful images in my portable studio. I love to create, and limiting myself to one source of light or one style of photographing families is not the way to express myself. I don't limit myself to sunset (so called golden hour) sessions. I shot at any given time.4 years ago I pursued a project called 365 Self-Potrait Project in which I took one self-portrait a day for a year. From a project which was supposed to be about me it had turned into something that was about mothers and motherhood. I called it “Portrait of a Mother” which was featured on Bon Bon Break. Since that project I try to embrace every opportunity I get to be on the picture with my family. I know how hard it is for many mothers out there to do the same, and my mission is to change it…
Last week I had a chance to meet this happy and very content baby boy. At the time he was only 4 days old. So tiny. Just during those few hours I’d spent with him he received many, many hugs and kisses. He is a lucky boy to be born in such a loving family!
You would be surprised how much fun it can be to walk to the park. The goal, always, is to get to the swing, nothing matters more than that, but still… the walk itself can bring many laughs, many finds like rocks, sticks, leaves, coins, many “uhhh”s and “ahhh”s. After a walk like that the swing is a well deserved prize!
The first day we met it was raining cats and dogs, although 30 minutes before the session the weather looked pretty ok for outdoor shooting. We re-scheduled the session for the next day. The second time we got lucky. It wasn’t raining and it wasn’t very cold. Almost the entire session was conducted by the Big Brother. He had all these ideas: where he want to be photographed, what he is going to do while I take his pictures, etc., but at the same time he happily did what he was asked for… like hug his sister:
We met on one early afternoon, and although Little Greta did not want to settle down for more than 3 minutes at the time, we kept the family busy with all kinds of family shots. With the laughter, lots of kisses and love pouring from every member of this beautiful family the session was amazing.
